Parent Governor Elections autumn 2020

Following our invitation for parents to stand as parent governors we are pleased to say that Mr Andrew Wong has been elected to serve as parent governor.

Parent governors play an important role on the governing body so we would ask you all to take two minutes to read the papers and cast your vote.

The governors and the school would like to extend their appreciation to Amy North who has served as a parent governor for the past four years.  Her contribution has been very welcomed by us all.

The Felix Project

Miles Coverdale Primary School is delighted to have teamed up with The Felix Project (https://thefelixproject.org/) to offer free food to families.  The project rescues food from supermarkets that might otherwise have been thrown out.  All the food is edible and within its sell-by date.  It is thrown out for a variety of reasons including reaching its Best Before date, dented packaging, wrong colour and so on.

We will have a table in the Key Stage 2 playground every Thursday from 2.45pm for parents to come along and take food.  We ask only two things of you - one is to bring your own bags as we cannot provide these and, secondly, that you allow others the chance to also take some food.

The range of products will vary from week to week but you can see below the selection we had on our first delivery.  We look forward to seeing you tomorrow at 2.45.
